Dubai Airport authorities have rejected the use of controversial full body scanners at the Emirates’ airports as they violate ethical principles relevant to Islāmic culture. In addition to raising a number of questions pertaining to ethical concerns, the device will encroach upon the passengers personal privacy, not acceptable by many. “The use of such a device violates personal privacy and it raises a very sensitive issue for passengers, in addition to the fact that it does not complement our national ethics,” Dubai airport security chief Brig Ahmed bin Thani has said. Dubai officially opened its second Al Maktoum International Airport on Sunday for cargo operations. Previously known as Jebel Ali International Airport, it is the emirates second airport and supposed to become the world’s largest. (more…)

A frequent traveler, this is my worst experience with the Dubai International Airport. You are juggling between terminals, toilets, security places and are popped into malls when you are not in the mood to shop.

1If you want to enjoy your flight to Dubai then Emirates Airline should be on the top of your list. Part of the Emirates group, the airline flies off to around 68 destinations throughout the world. The Airline fleet at the Dubai International Airport consists of more than 50 airplanes that include 28 Airbus A330-200, 12 big 300 series Boeing 777 aircraft and 9 Boeing 777.
