Dubai is rapidly turning itself into one of the most admired winter cruise destination among the tourists.

Dubai is rapidly turning itself into one of the most admired winter cruise destination among the tourists. With a perfect blend of old mosques and newly built shopping malls, innovative architecture and golden dunes of the desert laid, the city has lot of things for the explorers. With the best of the offers provided by most of the tour companies, stopover the night and enjoy beautiful sights of the city along with Arabian hospitality on your trip with any one of the Dubai cruises. A lavish living experience, a quick entry system, visa problems taken care of by tour companies, you just have to sit back, relax and soak in the beauty of Dubai’s horizon.

P&O Cruises, Regent Seven Seas, Royal Caribbean International and Princess Cruises are quite popular for their wide range of accommodation choices and on-board luxury options. Tourists on the Oriana, P&O Cruises can revere the beautiful Arabian Gulf, traditional buildings and stunning architecture flanking in beside. The Princess Cruises provides shore excursions and a trip to the Nad Al Sheba Club. A few of the cruises also offer onboard swimming pool along with a few possible excursions that include boating towards the Dubai Creek via the Grand Mosque. Shoppers can buy gold at the Gold Souk when your cruise takes a halt.

Visitors on the Costa Cruise can bathe inside the natural pools at the Hatta, a halt before Al-Bastakiya district. Also, the cruise boosts a tempting Trattoris Buffet inside its beautiful terrace. The other excursions of the Costa Cruises include a tour of the main centre of Dubai, the Dubai Heritage tour and a boat spree to the artificial Palm Islands. Furthermore, the adventure lovers can hop into the 4X4 Dune Drive Safari. Costa cruise features stylish rooms adorned with warm colours and cozy bedrooms that ensure a comfortable living. On entering, the Costa Classica you will be welcomed by a grand statue created by Arnaldo Pomodoro. There is a Piazza Navona dedicated for socializing and meeting and the Puccini Ballroom is a fantastic dancing room. Evenings can be spent inside the Colosseo Theatre that ensures a complete entertainment.

Relaxation during your holiday can be achieved inside the Dubai Dhow Cruise. The dhow is generally made of wood and is used mostly for fishing. An evening on the cruise with the cool wind and the silence spread across the creek is sure to calm down the stress and relax your mind. The boat operators take you to a beautiful spot where a stunning contrast between Deira and Bur Dubai is recognized smoothly across the water strip of the Dubai Creek, wherein one side boosts the modern side of Dubai while the other side preserves the calmness of the Arab land. Also, the belly dancing performed by the belly dancers is sure to entertain you.

If you wish to hire a cruise from Dubai to explore Muscat, Bahrain or Abu Dhabi then Costa Luminosa, Costa Deliziosa, Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas and Panorama are a few of the options. Generally a 2 nights stay over, the cruises start and end at the marvelous city of Dubai. The route followed is first Muscat, then Abu Dhabi and Bahrain and back to Dubai. Travel from Dubai to Muscat on weekly basis can be enjoyed by the passengers of the Arabian Sea Cruise.

The Jewels of the Emirates Cruise and Dubai and the Emirates Cruise offer 7 nights’ cruises taking you to a trip to Muscat, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain along with a night in Dubai at the start and end of your journey. Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas also boosts a 7 night trip around Muscat, Oman, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, starting and ending at Dubai. The Costa Classica also offers a 7 night trip. The tour includes a halt at Muscat, Oman, Bahrain, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi along with 2 night’s stay in Dubai. A 10 night trip around Dubai can be enjoyed in the Silver Whisper by SilverSea Cruises. You can enjoy a trip to Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Muscat, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

Almost all the cruises start from the Dubai Cruise Terminal at the Port Rashid. The best time to enjoy the Dubai Cruises is in winter, though autumn and spring are also at hand.

As the new Dubai mounts itself up, the old Dubai embraces itself towards fading. With around 80 new apartments placed in the 30-40 storey sky kissing skyscrapers, Dubai now is on a complete high-rise.

Though Dubai’s neighbors are taking different steps at defending themselves from foreign cultures and wars, Dubai deems at ingenuousness and respect for the foreign cultures and believes that this is the only way to remain at peace. As the new Dubai mounts itself up, the old Dubai embraces itself towards fading. With around 80 new apartments placed in the 30-40 storey sky kissing skyscrapers, Dubai now is on a complete high-rise. The Internet City, Knowledge Village and the Media City are all six-lane highways with the glass and stainless-steel buildings.

Most of the people were shifted to Bastakiya, wherein the houses were made of gypsum, coral and sand. in the 1990’s to guard their homes from expanding and today, the area is festooned with cement and towered houses that welcome the cool breeze. The mazed up streets making their way since 1890’s is the only reminder from the city’s past life. Adjacent to the town is the Dubai Creek that is adorned with galleries, shopping centers, restaurants and cafes. In a very less time, the city has flourished into a place with spectacular development and endless wealth. Obscure stone and wood decorations on the top of the houses indicated the wealth of a family in the town. Bait Al-Wakeel was one more historic site wherein the very first office building in Dubai was established and the Al Fahidi Fort, constructed somewhere is 1780’s was the oldest building of the city. As the city blossomed itself up, the historic sites faded slowly. But, the government has initiated on promoting and signifying the historic sites that reflect a touchable link to the fast dying precedent Dubai.

A living metal, glass and stone allegory, Dubai today is lined up with limitless posh sky kissing skyscrapers and glamorous constructions. The enormous Atlantis Hotel along with the magnificent Burj Al Arab is built on their own man-made islands. The Burj Dubai makes its way as the tallest sky scrapper. The Palm Jumeirah is also one of the most beautiful constructions of the city. The big waterfront of the Persian Gulf is shared by the profoundly guarded fortresses of the Port Rashid and the large container ships of the Jebel Ali. Also, not forgetting its past, the old shops of Dubai Creek are nested comfortably in their places.

A few most fantastic changes have been made in the Khalid bin Waleed Road, Al Maktoum Street and the Creekside. Also, a few more areas are under construction. The Dubai Waterfront, the biggest waterfront, the World Islands that comprise of about 300 man made world shaped islands, the Palm Islands, the biggest artificial islands, Hydropolis, the first underwater hotel, The Burj Al Alam, tallest hotel, Dubailand, twice Walt Disney and is expected to take over the title of No. 1 tourist destination along with a few more tall buildings, the Princess Tower and the Ocean Heights will line over Dubai very soon. Also, the Dubai Metro System will be a completely automated rail system of the world and the Dubai World Central International Airport will be the biggest airport as well as a business airport.

Dubai Montage

Go on a roller coaster water ride at the Wild Wadi Water Park or make sand castles at Jumeirah beach, Dubai offers much more than it proposes. Luxury hotels in Dubai take care of you and your kid’s minutest needs which include transportation to all the family attractions as well as letting the couple spend the time alone while the young ones are engaged in some fun activities. Neither are the kids glued to you all along the vacation nor do they get bored just because they do not have anything else to do. While you go berserk shopping at Mall of Emirates or Gold Souk, the kids are enjoying the slopes at the tallest man made ski mountain.

Dubai is known for discovering the unknown and that sure is a giddy experience for the whole family. Underwater hotel rooms at Middle Eastern Ski resort, The Atlantis Hotel at Palm islands, camel ride or desert safari in the sand dunes or indoor fishing at the Dubai Aquarium; these attractions are just the tip of the iceberg. Disappointment is the word banned from Dubai’s tourism dictionary! If you plan your trip according to the guided rules, enjoying a Dubai vacation is not far away.

Some points to remember before jetting off to Dubai:

Check out which part of the year you are planning to travel to Dubai. You might enjoy the blazing sun and return with a glowing tan, but your children will wither in the heat. Temperature can rise well above 40 degree Celsius, so the best season to visit is the winter months when you can enjoy all the indoor as well as outdoor activities. This means in January when temperatures are about 24 degree Celsius with occasional heavy rain. July month is hottest with mercury heating above 40 degree Celsius.

If money is not a problem for you, there are quite a few hotels that have a separate children’s department with amusement activities dedicated specially for them. They offer other facilities like cribs, babysitting, etc for a surcharge or it may be complimentary depending on which room/suite you book. The hotels are listed below.

If it’s Dubai, then a beach and a water park is a must. Wild Wadi Water Park and Jumeirah beach are favorites, especially if you have access to a private beach. But parents need not worry as there are enough lifeguards and safety precautions taken by hotels and Dubai government to ensure that you enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday.

White sands and a good sunshine for your sun tan, warm waters and fluffy sand for your kids and a beautiful backdrop of some amazing architectural structures make for some amazing photo albums.

Children can be quite rebellious when it comes to their food. They want what they want and might not adjust to the local flavor of the Arabic cuisine. But this isn’t a worry matter, as you savor some fantastic the Middle Eastern fare, hotels & restaurants offer cuisines from all around the world for your child. Fast food outlets are also in plenty for those who are junk food fanatics. Luxury means getting what you wish for and Dubai is a luxury wonderland for kids.

Dubai rings a bell when you are looking for an enthralling place to travel. However, it can be very expensive to stay in Dubai especially when you are not so familiar with how you can cut cost while enjoy the city at the same time. One of the things that can eat up your budget is the transportation expenses you will incur when you are in Dubai. To cut down on costs, you must get familiar with the different types of transportation in Dubai as you jump from one place to another.

Taxi Car in Dubai

• Taxis are everywhere in Dubai. In fact, riding a taxi is the most expensive to travel around Dubai. All taxis in Dubai are metered and could cost you much in taxi fare especially when you are caught in traffic. As you know, Dubai has one of the worse traffic congestion in the United Arab Emirates. Finding a taxi is also a problem because there are not enough taxis in Dubai. If by chance you cannot find a taxi to ride, you can send SMS to the toll-free number 4774 mentioning the number of the taxi stand where you are waiting. There are rank numbers in 54 locations or taxi stands in the congested areas in Dubai wherein every stand has its assigned area code. These area codes are mentioned on the boards installed at each taxi stand. You will then receive an acknowledgment message from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and a taxi would you up from the exact spot within minutes.

There are some private cars that are being used as taxis. Beware of this because private cars used as taxis are illegal in Dubai and are being penalized. Even though passengers are not penalized for riding private cars used as taxis, this poses risks in the passenger’s security and safety.

This is a photo of a Dubai Bus, sitting in the Deira Bus Station in Deira in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 26 December 2007.

• Another transportation which you can enjoy in Dubai and is less expensive than taxis is riding the bus. You can find the bus routes at any major station throughout Dubai where free maps and fliers are written in both English and Arabic. Free route maps and bus schedule are also provided for the passengers. You can also buy an e-Go Card that is very useful and economical if you are a regular commuter. Riding a bus in Dubai is the most economical mode of transportation in Dubai. The only tip you need for riding the bus is that the front section is reserved for women only while men sit at the back in Dubai buses.

Dubai water taxi

• Water taxis are the fastest and the least costly mode of transportation in crossing the Dubai Creek. Locals of Dubai use abras as their daily transport while tourists are fond of riding these water taxis as they enjoy the towering skyline and the bustling city while boating in the midst of the captivating waters of the Arabian Gulf. The ride will take just a minute or two. You must go to the designated stations for abras along either side of the creek and you can pay the driver on the boat. The abras operate from early mornings until midnight. The water taxi leaves as soon as it reaches its capacity of 20 passengers.
