The Burj Khalifa, the Tallest Building in the World has become a hot-favorite among thousands of upcoming projects where the hospitality industry is certainly in process to create its position over there.

Giorgio Armani Spa prepares to open its first hotel, in the Burj Dubai tower, on March 18, 2010. Occupying a spacious 432,000 square feet structure on the bottom 39 floors, it will house around 160 guest rooms, suites and 144 private residences . It is believed that these things will be furnished with Armani’s Casa line where a swimming pool will be located on the 76th floor that will give you a great view.

Online bookings for the Armani Hotel in Dubai will be available later this month. So get ready to avail the experience at the Burj Khalifa skyscraper that swanks the world’s top swimming pool, a mosque and adequate glass that is rumored to cover almost 17 football pitches.

Amid crisis, it feels great to see Dubai and its magnificent building Burj Khalifa that stands by its size and grandeur. It is a good example of globalization irrespective of its strong cultural heritage, where the city truly depicts modernity at the heart of Dubai and its people. Burj Khalifa is undoubtedly the center for the world’s best shopping, dining, entertainment and home for the world’s privileged.

Further, the group Giorgio Armani has plans to open its chains in Milano, Marrakech and Egypt.

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2010 is ready to spread its wings on 28 January 2010 and it is anticipated that the 32-day long event will surpass its past records.

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2010 is ready to spread its wings on 28 January 2010 and it is anticipated that the month long event will surpass its past records.

Organizer Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) have announced that this year’s DSF will go on until mid February and with a gap period of 3 months, Dubai Summer Surprises will be launched on June 17 2010. Dubai Summer Surprises, an event with a hangover of DSF will conclude on August 7.

Dubai is a travelers and shopper’s paradise and the festival blends the wishes of worldwide traders and shopaholics. The magnitude of the shopping experience is multiplied with eye-popping theatre events, fireworks and laser shows, street performances, fashion shows, prize draws and of course discounts on various merchandise. There is something for everyone at the DSF right from film festivals for the movie buffs to children’s functions to keep the kids happy.

Souks are a popular place to hang out especially for the women, as Dubai is known for its gold jewelry and spices available at duty free rates. If you are a good bargainer then you can hit the pot of luck with incredible discounts offered by dealers. Gold Souk at Sikkat al-Khali Street and Spice souk on Al Sabkha are some of the famous joints to shop. Do visit the Fish Souk in Deira even if you are not intending to buy. The market is worth a watch with fisherman pitching their voices to sell their catches and buyers haggling for a good price.

For those who are ready to spend a few extra dirhams can go for Persian carpets sold by traders from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The DSF co-ordinates various events and exhibitions under one space, where hundreds of traders not only get together to sell their wares but also showcase their country’s cultural highlights.

As the theme of this year’s DSF goes, One world, One family, One festival; the world citizens are looking forward to the opening ceremony of the Dubai Shopping Festival 2010.

Christmas is celebrated with a great enthusiasm in Dubai. The entire emirate spreads the joy by starting the revels from the 24th December, on the eve of Christmas, and the day is celebrated by importing Christmas trees, pouring artificial snow and hosting special events at different places of the city. People visit their relatives and friends in the morning and are generally served with sugared almonds, coffee and liqueurs. Kubbeh, made of crushed boiled wheat mixed with meat, accompanied with chicken, rice, onion, salt and pepper, is usually served for lunch.

The different hotels of the city put an extra effort by decorating the hotel beautifully with lights and Christmas tree. Exquisite parties are organized for the guests and different mouthwatering delicacies accompanied with Christmas carols is on the list of almost every hotel of the city. Most of the hotels also offer special Christmas lunch for the foodie lovers.

Tempting festive discounts wait for you as you enter the malls for doing some Christmas shopping. Almost every mall and shopping centre is enjoying Christmas by displaying some of the finest collections of the season. Wafi Mall is surely not to be missed when in Dubai during the festive season. The celebration is marked by a Santa’s grotto, Christmas songs and different discounts.

Everyone is invited to attend the mass prayers on the eve of Christmas at St. Frances of Assisi Church situated at Jebel Ali. The church also gives lunch to the poor during the festival. Several other churches in Dubai perform morning and evening prayers.

A vacation trip to Dubai points towards sun, sand, beach and shopping. The best time to go to the scorching hot city is during its cooler months i.e. in between November and April, when the hot suns is at rest and cool with blowing winds during the evenings and night time. Even if you visit the city during the rest of the months you will find the air-conditioned hotels, malls and other complexes well-equipped to easily keep off the heat.

By and large the tourist season boosts up in between November and April when the temperatures are in between 24-35ºC keeping the evenings warm and nights chill. Months of November, December, January and February observe gentle wind where the mercury goes down almost up to 13 ºC. Likewise you can take pleasure in the rain if you tend to visit the city somewhere in between December and March. The temperature tends to rise up till 30 ºC by April that indicates the onset of approaching hot season-May.

A trip to the beautiful tourist place Dubai can be avoided for a holiday that involve lots of shopping, dinning and fun especially during the months of Ramadan, when the strict rules of Islam are applicable against smoking, drinking and eating and staying outside for long hours. As a consequence, the rates of almost all the hotels drop down up to 70% during this time where you are requested to follow the rules of the festival. If you want to eat during the day time then you are requested to eat somewhere indoors or else to close the windows of the restaurants and cafes while having food.

Though religious beliefs and sentiments are attached here, it equally spoils the total enjoyment involved, where you really find difficult to relax at length which is the sole purpose of your journey to the city. Similarly, avoid the period between June and September. Though the air-conditioned buildings keep off the heat, you would not be able to enjoy much of the outdoor activities except for the nightlife. Desert Safaris, Camping and Camel riding would be a bit difficult to get pleasure from, where sun bathing or playing at the beach can be revered in between April and October where the temperatures rise up to 40 ºC.

Still you can make your holiday remarkable where you can catch Dubai Camel Racing. It is held every Thursday and Friday somewhere in between October to April at the Nad Al Sheba racetrack while Rugby Sevens is hosted in December. The best period to shop in Dubai is around January to March where the famous Dubai Shopping Festival runs for around 4 weeks.

Dubai Montage

Go on a roller coaster water ride at the Wild Wadi Water Park or make sand castles at Jumeirah beach, Dubai offers much more than it proposes. Luxury hotels in Dubai take care of you and your kid’s minutest needs which include transportation to all the family attractions as well as letting the couple spend the time alone while the young ones are engaged in some fun activities. Neither are the kids glued to you all along the vacation nor do they get bored just because they do not have anything else to do. While you go berserk shopping at Mall of Emirates or Gold Souk, the kids are enjoying the slopes at the tallest man made ski mountain.

Dubai is known for discovering the unknown and that sure is a giddy experience for the whole family. Underwater hotel rooms at Middle Eastern Ski resort, The Atlantis Hotel at Palm islands, camel ride or desert safari in the sand dunes or indoor fishing at the Dubai Aquarium; these attractions are just the tip of the iceberg. Disappointment is the word banned from Dubai’s tourism dictionary! If you plan your trip according to the guided rules, enjoying a Dubai vacation is not far away.

Some points to remember before jetting off to Dubai:

Check out which part of the year you are planning to travel to Dubai. You might enjoy the blazing sun and return with a glowing tan, but your children will wither in the heat. Temperature can rise well above 40 degree Celsius, so the best season to visit is the winter months when you can enjoy all the indoor as well as outdoor activities. This means in January when temperatures are about 24 degree Celsius with occasional heavy rain. July month is hottest with mercury heating above 40 degree Celsius.

If money is not a problem for you, there are quite a few hotels that have a separate children’s department with amusement activities dedicated specially for them. They offer other facilities like cribs, babysitting, etc for a surcharge or it may be complimentary depending on which room/suite you book. The hotels are listed below.

If it’s Dubai, then a beach and a water park is a must. Wild Wadi Water Park and Jumeirah beach are favorites, especially if you have access to a private beach. But parents need not worry as there are enough lifeguards and safety precautions taken by hotels and Dubai government to ensure that you enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday.

White sands and a good sunshine for your sun tan, warm waters and fluffy sand for your kids and a beautiful backdrop of some amazing architectural structures make for some amazing photo albums.

Children can be quite rebellious when it comes to their food. They want what they want and might not adjust to the local flavor of the Arabic cuisine. But this isn’t a worry matter, as you savor some fantastic the Middle Eastern fare, hotels & restaurants offer cuisines from all around the world for your child. Fast food outlets are also in plenty for those who are junk food fanatics. Luxury means getting what you wish for and Dubai is a luxury wonderland for kids.

Dubai Family Attractions
